Welcome New Members of the Board of Directors!

The membership elected new members to our Board of Directors during our annual meeting on November 17, 2009.  The Board has been expanded to 9 elected members to better serve our growing and diverse membership.  The full term of each director is 3 years. 

The election included replacing the two Directors whose terms are expiring at the end of 2009, Forest Busby and Raymond Middleton, plus 3 new positions.

During the December 2 regular Board meeting two of the newly elected Directors voluntarily chose to serve shorter terms.  The shorter terms are required so that 3 terms expire at the end of 2010 and 2011.

Also, during the December 2 meeting the Board of Directors elected a new Director, Tia Dahl, to fill the remaining two years of the term vacated by Amy Doyal's departure.

The new Directors are:
    Serving through 2012:    Rosa Williams, Kristi Steward, Lisa Andersen
    Serving through 2011:    Mica Muzny, Tia Dahl
    Serving through 2010:    Isa Alwazzan  

Congratulations to these incoming Directors!  Their work for you is just beginning.

Thanks to our outgoing Directors! 

The regular terms of two Directors comes to an end in 2009 - Forest Busby and Raymond Middleton.  Forest Busby has been a strong advocate for diversifying our Chamber membership and heped recruit many valuable members, especially those located near the Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978 intersections.

Raymond Middleton served as Treasurer for several years and most recently as chairman of our highly successful golf outing.  While his member-elected term ends this year, Ray was elected by the Board to serve as Chairman-Elect for 2010 and will assume the role as Chairman in 2011.  These officer positions extend his seat on the Board.

The Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank Forest and Ray for their valuable volunteer contributions during these past years!
